How We Calculate This

How the calculation works

This calculator adds up time estimates for each area and piece of equipment in the kitchen.

Base times by kitchen size

  • Small (under 20 m²): 3 hours base
  • Medium (20-50 m²): 6 hours base
  • Large (50-100 m²): 10 hours base
  • Extra large (100+ m²): 15 hours base

Equipment time additions

  • Oven: 45 mins each
  • Fryer: 30 mins each
  • Extraction hood: 60 mins each
  • Fridge/freezer: 25 mins each

Finish time = total labour minutes ÷ number of staff
